Black Pride is more than a festival.

We are a movement and platform rooted in the experiences, histories and futures of Black LGBTQIA+ communities in the Netherlands, Amsterdam. We exist because our communities have always created spaces of care, resistance, celebration and imagination often without the recognition or resources they deserved.

Black Pride is a place where Black queer people do not have to explain themselves before they can belong.

Here, our identities are not an exception.
They are the starting point.

Through culture, conversation, education, art, nightlife and collective organizing, we create spaces where Black queer lives are seen in their full complexity: joyful, vulnerable, political, creative, spiritual and unapologetically free.

Our first festival is one snippet of that vision.

The movement continues every day of the year.
